Bio

I started my career as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist over 20 years ago counseling people from different backgrounds and needs. I later became a Professional Certified Coach and I am passionate about coaching Individuals, Couples, Teams, Corporate, Non-Profits and International Relations Organizations. My experience includes working for 7 years at the UCLA Employee Assistance Program serving their work teams, staff and faculty. I have coached and trained managers, supervisors and employees in the different competencies to help them achieve their goals and create fulfilling and inspiring relationships while improving their work productivity. I developed and established the Employee Assistance Program at one of 3M's plants in Simi Valley, California from its inception. There, I was in charge of coaching Managers and Executives to be more effective leaders as well as Employees on any work related or personal issue. I am also an Emotional Intelligence and Diversity Trainer as well as a Cross Cultural and Community Mediator and Red Cross Mental Health Volunteer. I have co-founded the Dream Kids Parenting Workshops where I coach parents to develop strong family alliances. I work with different non-profit organizations to better develop and advance their vision and attain their goals.


I have presented numerous trainings internationally in English and Spanish on subjects as varied as : Emotional Intelligence and Diversity in the Workplace, Conflict Mediation in the Workplace, dealing with Post-Traumatic Stress after a Terrorist Attack (in Argentina after the bombing of the AMIA building in Buenos Aires), Coping with Downsizing in Organizations, Team Building in the Workplace, Acculturation in Hispanics for Mental Health Professionals, and more.


I have received an Outstanding Doctoral Project Award for a training program I developed on Acculturation in Hispanics for mental health professionals, and presented my work at the 25th International Congress of Psychology in Brussels, Belgium.

I feel passionate about working with non-profit organizations, particularly those involved in eradicating world hunger, homelessness and bringing understanding and peace to all people.

Qualifications

I have trained with the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and have obtained my PCC Certification (Professional Certified Coach)by the ICF (International Coach Federation). As you can read in my bio section, I have worked in various settings in the last 20 years as a Coach, an Employee Assistance Professional (EAP) and a Clinical Psychologist.

How I Can Help

I have worked as a Professional Coach and a Clinical Psychologist for the last 20 years and every day I am grateful to be growing, learning, and sharing my journey together with my clients. I have worked in private practice with individuals, couples and families as well as in the workplace with employees, managers and work teams. I find it very fulfilling at the end of each session to be a part of helping someone else gain clarity, understanding, self-awareness, and tools in order to live a more balanced, fulfilled, joyful, productive, purpose-filled life.
In addition, my most recent interest has been working with non-profits, particularly those involved in eradicating hunger, homelessness and violence in our world.
